Skärgårdshavets Helikoptertjänst Ab or better known as SHT is the oldest HEMS helicopter operator in Finland. We are based in the Åland archipelago in Mariehamn, Finland. We operate 5 EMS bases, Mediheli Vantaa, Mediheli Turku, Ilmari in Joroinen, Sepe in Oulu and our main base at Mariehamn Aiport. All 5 bases are operation 24/7.

Our focus is on EMS and Air Ambulance helicopter operation, we have 4 x EC 135 P2(+) helicopters well equipped for the harsh Finnish environment. Our helicopters are equipped with AAT Medical Interiour, SPIFR, Autopilot, Moving Map and Pop-Out flotation.

SHT was founded in 1991 and acquired the first Messerschmidtt Bölkow-Blohm BO-105 CB helicopter to Finland. The business expanded in 2000 after signing a contract with Mediheli for their two HEMS bases. During the last few years the number of missions on both Mediheli bases have been close to 6000 missions / year. The high number of missions make the 24/7 operation unique in the world.
