SHT’s 20 YEARS

SHT’s main focus is in the HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Services) and Air Ambulance flights. We are constantly focusing on developing our operations and working on a long term base, all for the benefit of our customers and patients.

Every mission is important for both our clients and us and is performed with highest possible safety in mind.  More than 55.000 missions by helicopter during our 20 year long history have made us humble, and we intend to keep it that way to!

SHT started as a pioneer in 1990 with medical flights in the Åland archipelago. The business expanded in 2000 when the co-operation with Mediheli started in Turku, this expanded further to Helsinki in 2001.

SHT operates 3 bases, one in Helsinki, one in Turku and one in Mariehamn, Åland. All bases are operationl 24/7I  by 20 higly qualified helicopter pilots.

SHT is the first civil helicopter operator using NVG Night Vision Goggles during night operations.
